Sarah + Chad | Decatur, Georgia

When two foodies fall in love, it only makes sense to get married at their favorite restaurant. And that's exactly what Chad and Sarah did. With farm-fresh ingredients and cornbread that will blow your mind, Revival in Decatur was completely fitting as the backdrop as their intimate wedding celebration.

Chad and Sarah both met (and work!) at Woodlands Camp—one of the most picturesque camp and retreat centers in the South. It's about an hour and a half north of Decatur. But this didn't stop these two from having their first look at home, at camp—where they first met and where they'll be starting their lives together. Plus it allowed the bride and groom to have some extra alone time before the ceremony as they made their trip to the wedding venue!

Revival is a mastermind of all things Southern cuisine—and staying completely on brand—the restaurant exists inside an old Southern home built in the early 1900s complete with a big ol' front porch and a parlor room to boot. Chad and Sarah were married in the backyard just behind the restaurant. But once the ceremony was finished, guests made their way to the outdoor patio for drinks and hors d'oeuvres... and the bride and groom made their way to grab a celebratory treat at one of their favorite ice cream spots, Jeni's! (Chad got the darkest chocolate, and Sarah chose wild berry lavender! YUM.)

Food and drinks were definitely second in line for the main event of the evening. Friends and family were able to taste and feel all the goodness of the South; two long tables were filled with guests as they ate and drank from a hand-crafted menu. I don't think anyone will be forgetting that mac-n-cheese anytime soon! But Sarah's favorite of the night: charred local carrots with curried yogurt, garlic, and mint—SO GOOD.

A choreographed first dance, one very special and beautiful speech, and a tunnel of cheering loved ones capped off the night with a celebration that was so very fitting for Chad and Sarah. Wishing these two all the warm and fuzzies as they start their life together!
